Engineering contractor Wood has been appointed program management partner by chemicals giant INEOS in the construction of a new petrochemicals complex in Antwerp, Belgium.

The new plant is ground-breaking for INEOS, as it involved building the first new ethane gas cracker and PDH (propane dehydrogenation) unit in Europe for 20 years.

The contract will be delivered by Wood from their UK headquarters in Reading and on-site in Antwerp.
