The Millbank-sponsored Runcorn Linnets FC have been promoted to the EVO-STIK League, coinciding with the club's birthday celebrations.

The promotion was assured on the eve of the Linnet's 12th birthday. As this is also the 100th year of football in the town, the Mersey Gateway Bridge was lit in Linnets colours - yellow and green - to mark the occasion.

Linnets are assured of at least a second place finish in The Hallmark Security League Premier Division this season, needing three points from their remaining four games to be champions.

As main club sponsors, Millbank are extremely proud of the Linnets and this fantastic achievement.
