Significant moves set to be made in the Electric Vehicle EV market, as Royal Enfield announce their plan to launch their very first electric motorcycle in 2025. The successful plan highlights the companies move into the future of electric vehicles as CEO B Govindarjan give an insight into the design appearance as being “gorgeous looking” and “very differentiated”.
The new up and coming vehicle will set to feature a fixed battery alongside fast-charging abilities in place of the swappable battery. Royal Enfield aim to provide a competitive and profitable EV market, setting it apart from other competitors, as they continue to drive the development of a more innovative future for the automotive industry.
As part of this launch, there are two key projects in the works which includes the electric Himalayan, presented as a rugged adventure bike, and a lightweight city bike, which is set to storm the market first with rumours that have emerged through design registration papers with names such as “Royal Babe-E” or “Flying Flea”.

The motorcycle is described as having:
“Original Styling—Standout, Striking” with “Uniqueness such as…girder fork…large diameter wheel, elegant lines, narrow body.” Other elements mentioned included: “high-quality, tactile finishes and touch points” and a “neo vintage/classic” style.
As Royal Enfield approaches its first electric project debut the combination of the brand's classic charm along with modern innovation, highlights the company’s new and improved standard in the electric motorcycle landscape, which is certain to hit the ground running, upon its first appearance.
