Last week, Millbank had the honour of sponsoring Carmel College's annual 5k run in support of the Cancer Charity – Sam’s Diamonds. It was an event filled with energy, enthusiasm, and a shared commitment to making a difference in the fight against cancer.
Our sponsorship allowed Carmel College to elevate the event, providing essentials like the vibrant balloon arch that welcomed participants and spectators alike. Additionally, we were delighted to contribute to the recognition of participants' efforts by sponsoring prizes for both the fastest runners around the course and those who demonstrated exceptional dedication to supporting the event and charity.
Sean our Director, who attended and ran the event, crossed the finish line with a time of 23 minutes and 50 seconds, which was a PB for him, marking a significant achievement in his journey as a runner. Well done Sean!
Events like the Carmel College 5k remind us of the power of community and solidarity in tackling challenges as daunting as cancer. Sam’s Diamonds is doing invaluable work, providing support and hope to individuals and families affected by this disease, and it was a pleasure for Millbank to play a part in furthering their cause.
Thank you to Carmel College, Sam’s Diamonds and everyone who participated in or supported this remarkable event. Congratulations also goes to the A Level Health & Social Care and A Level Business students for organising the day. Carmel managed to raise an incredible £968, with more donations still to be counted.
