Engineering services provider Bilfinger UK has won a project to replace the Control Scheme at Cwm Dyli Power Station, North Wales, on behalf of Innogy Renewables UK.
The plant is one of a fleet of stations that produce fully renewable hydro-electricity, with the Bilfinger project being part of a wider asset management strategy to refurbish and improve the efficiency of the plants.
Parts set to be replaced by Bilfinger include the Unit Control PLC, Electrical Panels & MCC, and HMI and interface to the SCADA system.
John Cauchi, Strategic Development Director at Bilfinger UK said, “Innogy is one of our key strategic clients. Projects like this demonstrate a key commitment from Innogy to the long-term development and sustainability of renewable energy in the UK. Naturally we are happy to be part of this.”
